FAQ
Yes — and once you understand why, you'll never buy regular baby swimwear again.
Removing a wet swimsuit from a baby or toddler the traditional way means pulling tight, soaking fabric up over their arms, across their shoulders and over their head. For babies whose shoulder and hip joints are still developing, repeated forced arm movement during swimwear removal places unnecessary stress on small, still-forming bodies. For toddlers who are wriggly, overtired and desperate to get back to the water — it's a safety risk on wet, slippery surfaces that every parent knows all too well.
Snap-change baby swimwear solves this completely. Len Swim's signature snap-change design features nappy-change snaps built into the crotch of every infant and toddler one piece swimsuit. Changes happen from the bottom — arms stay in sleeves, heads stay out of it, and the whole process takes seconds instead of minutes.
For parents asking "what is the easiest baby swimwear to change at the beach" — this is the answer. For parents of babies in hip dysplasia harnesses, toddlers in toilet training, kids with sensory sensitivities, or anyone who has ever lost their mind trying to remove a wet rashie from a two-year-old — snap-change swimwear is the single most practical innovation in Australian kids swimwear.
No wrestling. No tears. No stress on little shoulders.
Snap change baby swimwear, nappy snap swimsuits, easy change toddler bathers and infant swimwear with snaps — all available at Len Swim in sizes 000 to 9.
Len Swim beachwear is designed with a deliberate relaxed, oversized fit — the kind that looks effortless on kids, survives a full beach season, and still fits next summer. Here's exactly how to size each piece:
Harper Suits & Beach Pants — size to your child's age. Our kids' beach pants and harper jumpsuits are cut generously and designed to be cuffed at the ankle when longer. This isn't a sizing issue — it's intentional slow fashion design. One size covers two seasons.
Tops — size to age for a standard fit. Go up one size if you want the relaxed, dropped-shoulder, oversized look you see in our campaign imagery. All Len Swim editorial shoots style tops a size up for that authentic, sun-soaked, Mornington Peninsula feel.
Parka — our kids jacket is cut oversized by design. Size to age. It's built to be layered straight over a knit or vest, thrown on at sunset, and worn until it's completely falling apart — which, given the quality, will take a while.
All Len Swim kids beachwear is made from sustainable fabric — + the same no-nasties standard. Because what touches their skin during play shouldn't change just because they've stepped out of the water.
Purchase size to age. (If theyre 4, order a 4). We do recommend sizing up if your child is between sizes or a bigger build — our swimwear is designed to last beyond a full season and a little extra room is always better than too snug. Our fabric has a generous stretch so it moves with them — but if your little one is tall for their age, go up a size for sleeve and torso length. When in doubt, check our size guide or reach out and we'll help you find the right fit.
3M-6M does run smaller (we are popular with the premmie and tiny tots!) so please size up in NB - 1 size if you want it to last a little longer. They grow very quick at this age. Our snapsuits all run to a standard (slightly generous) fit and our rash sets are designed to be worn slightly oversized to last so these run generous also.
Yes — and it's one of the most important things Australian parents can do at the beach or pool that nobody talks about enough in a situation where there is a lot of little people about. Bright, high-visibility swimwear for babies and kids is recommended by aquatic safety experts for one simple reason: children in bright colours are dramatically easier to spot in the water. Deep, muted colours can become almost invisible beneath the surface, in glare, or in choppy water pending the conditions. A bright rashie, a bold swimsuit or a vibrant red baby bather can be the difference between spotting your child instantly and scanning a crowded beach in a panic. For babies and toddlers especially — who move fast, go under without warning and can't yet call out for help — high-visibility kids swimwear is a layer of passive safety that requires zero effort from a parent. You just put it on them. Because the safest kids swimwear in Australia isn't just the one with the best sun rating. It's the one you can see. Bright kids swimwear. Because finding them fast matters more than anything.
